Timor coffee is one of the few coffee-growing origins with a unique varietal - a hybrid between robusta and Arabica.
Introduced by the Portuguese in the 1860s, the coffee industry of Timor has made significant progress since its independence in 2002. This growth has been facilitated through the support of International Development agencies, resulting in a rapid industry rebuild.
Timor is now a reliable contributor to global coffee supply.
An interesting fact about Timor coffee - it's almost entirely organic as pesticides and fertilizers had never been introduced to the country.
Grown in the Maubisse region - regarded as having an excellent reputation for quality.
